The Need For Focused Advertising For Online Success
When it comes to advertising and promotion there are two basic types of it. The first is untargeted, or general, advertising and the second is targetted, or foucused, avertising.This presentation will concentrate on the latter of the two. In order to get any measurable profits online, one must focus his advertising efforts on one or two sites and not on a larger number of them. This could pose a problem if that same webmaster or affiliate marketer is associated with a number of different offers and programs. He would have to promote each equally to make any money. The obvious solution to this would be to place all of your affiliate urls on one or two pages and promote those pages instead of all of the programs individually. He could also include google ads or similar types of ads for additional revenue earnings. THe exceptions to this can be in the form of promoting traffic exchnages and paid to click sites. A good method of adding and building your downlines can be done this way. The one drawback to this, and also where people fail, is how many offers to place on one page. Usually the rule is no more than one to three. Any more than that and your visitors may get the idea that you are not making money or do not believe in what you are promoting. Also too many listed programs will give your visitors an overload of information. This is also something that you, the affiliate marketer do not want. On the other hand, one or two programs will concentrate your visitors more easily. The advantage to this idea is that you can market a number of urls on one page without compromising your advertising efforts. One final point to mention is that it is cheaper to use a free hosting service, but the primary disadvantage is that you will be stuck with their banners and advertisements on your site. Using your own domain and a cheap hosting service can give your offers a certain credibility not otherwise found on free hosting sites.
